Description

Riftweaver, Inc. is seeking a Director of User Acquisition to join our team and help us launch the next generation of digital tabletop roleplaying games!

As a Director of User Acquisition, you’ll introduce the world to Fablecraft. You’ll leverage online channels (Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.) to drive quality installations while optimizing costs. We’ll also explore non-traditional channels such as gaming conventions and friendly local game stores.

Working closely with the studio’s CEO and Creative Director, you’ll oversee marketing creative, social media posts, and drive community engagement. You’ll lead a small marketing and social media team.

You will be expected to have substantial analytics, performance marketing, and go-to-market experience.

The Ideal Candidate

We seek a candidate with a strategic mindset, strong technical acumen, and a passion for player engagement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user acquisition dynamics, a track record of success in driving user growth, and an enthusiasm for the unique challenges presented by the gaming industry.

You’ll contribute concepts with the creative team, then oversee development in partnership with Riftweaver's Creative Director. Collaboration and communication will be key to a successful process.

You’ll be passionate about TTRPGs and enthusiastic about the innovation of Fablecraft. During company planning meetings, you’ll collaborate on product direction and contribute your ideas.

Our priority is building a diverse team, and we welcome applications from candidates who identify as part of minority or underrepresented groups. The more diverse our team, the better we will be.

Experience / Requirements

  • 5+ years of user acquisition experience.
  • 10+ years of total professional experience.
  • Worked on shipped mobile, console, or PC games.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with testing principles and the ability to implement maintainable tests.
  • This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be US-based.
  • Open to traveling to cons and company events.
  • This is a hands-on role and you’ll be responsible for spending every ad dollar.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Creative writing or art direction marketing experience.
  • Experience with cross-platform monitoring on Steam, iOS, and Android.
  • Experience in, and enthusiasm for, playing TTRPGs or Desktop RPGs.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of user acquisition strategies.
  • Monitor daily CPIs and adjust spend accordingly.
  • Create compelling and beautiful marketing campaigns that elevate the Fablecraft brand.
  • Keep a pulse on player sentiment across our social platforms.
  • Work closely with a small, dedicated team of developers, artists, and game designers to deliver on Fablecraft’s promise of an intuitive digital roleplaying game!
  • Report directly to the Creative Director and be involved in scoping and planning.

Why Work With Riftweaver?

  • We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a healthy work/life balance.
  • You’ll join our team in its early stages, so you’ll have the opportunity to meaningfully influence Fablecraft’s brand and Riftweaver’s culture.
  • We’re all extremely passionate and enthusiastic about games of all kinds - and \*especially\* about creating a TTRPG that’s more accessible to all players. You’ve come to the right place if you want to nerd out.
  • We have company retreats twice a year–just us playing games under the guise of being productive.
  • We’re fully remote and span a few time zones, but we maintain a close-knit, communicative environment–you won’t be on an island!
