Sitting within the Commercial Directorate as part of the Partnerships team, the Partnerships Manager help grow and maintain EXCEL’s commercial portfolio. A key component of the role will be working with our partners to deliver rights and benefits to allow them to maximise the relationship.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
These duties and responsibilities will include, but shall not be limited to:
• Providing day-to-day support to the Head of Partnerships on all Partnership-related matters
• Consultation with and daily management of key Excel Partners regarding the delivery and activation of contractual rights
• Liaison with other Excel departments, agencies and other third parties in respect of partnership activation and delivery programmes
• Leading on the approval process and reporting to Partners and internal stakeholders; and in addition to the above, you may be required to provide operational support to Excel project teams. Any amendments to your work-load will be agreed between you and your manager, Excel’s Head of Partnerships
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Experience of sponsorship/partnerships in sports and entertainment, planning projects, conducting analytical work and reporting on the outcomes of this work to and for clients
• Good understanding of digital marketing
• Been educated to degree standard or equivalent
• Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach to partnership delivery and activation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A creative mindset and a flexible, ‘can do’ approach to problem solving and negotiation
• Superb attention to detail
• The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
• The ability to manage a variety of projects and partner matters at the same time
• The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• The ability to present confidently to senior individuals
• Demonstrably high levels of enthusiasm and self-motivation; and
• Good knowledge of IT systems and programmes (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Extra:
• Three years’ experience of working in a sponsorship related environment either for a rights holder, sports sponsor/brand or agency;
• Experience and understanding of commercial contracts and deliverables
• Experience in the creation of strategic activation decks for clients
• Experience and interest in the use of technology and digital platforms in sponsorship activation; and
• A solid to good knowledge of esports and video gaming or an appetite to learn more about the space
