Lighting Artist

As an adjunct professor at University of Silicon Valley, I share my passion and expertise in CG lighting with the next generation of digital artists. I teach Intro to 3D Modeling and Texturing, a course that covers the fundamentals of creating realistic and stylized lighting for animation and visual effects projects. With over two years of experience as a lighting artist at Outpost VFX and Project X, I have contributed to the visual storytelling of several TV shows, including Star Trek Picard: Season 3, which won the AEAF Silver award for VFX in a TV series. I have also developed skills in Autodesk Arnold, animation, and technical support. My mission is to create immersive and captivating lighting that enhances the mood, atmosphere, and emotion of the scenes.

For my work in Star Trek Picard, I worked on over 20 shots in the 10 episode season. It was my first professional job. During one of the dailies, the showrunner was there and saw my shot and said that he wanted that to be a reference for all the shots similar in the future. It was amazing the hear that. And we also won Silver at the AEAF Awards for the teams amazing vfx work.

I want to work at a company where the workers are happy, and are excited to come into work. As long as I am lighting, and getting paid a livable wage, it does not matter what i work on. I love what I do, and I plan to do it for a very long time.

I need to be remote as much as possible. I am co-parenting and I want to stay close to my daughter as much as possible. I am already moving further away, and it is hurting me but where i was living is too expensive. So, having to move overseas, I can't.
