Competition Company is an ambitious young studio, driven by the passion of the youth and enabled by gaming, esports and racing veterans. With our main offices situated in Munich (Germany), and Malmö (Sweden), we are proud of having a distributed team across various countries and cities. 
We are in the race of our lives with a precise motivation: offer players, digital racers and car enthusiasts the ultimate playground for them to enjoy, share, create and even monetize their passion for cars and digital racing.  

The product 
RENNSPORT is the playground for car enthusiasts. A live-service racing simulation in its alpha stage of development with thousands of eager players already on the waiting list for release, as well as a top tier live competition dubbed “ESL R1”. 
RENNSPORT (the game) and ESL R1 are the tip of the iceberg in our vision to completely transform how players and fans engage with racing games, where the community of players, modders, and pro drivers are front and centre of everything we do.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking a UX Designer that can reinforce our great Design Team. There is plenty for you to do and create! We are making a very exciting new game, and are looking for people to help us make the best game possible! Want to embark on our journey and strengthen our great UI-Team? In this role, you will be responsible for: 

  • Work closely with designers, developers and data analysts to ensure our features match user expectations
  • Advocate internally for usability and simplicity in how users interact with our software products
  • Use a data driven approach to promote discoverability of features on our platform, game and website 
  • Ensure our players have an effortless interaction with our main product

YOUR PROFILE

  • Being structured, have a organized approached to your work tasks and able to manage features together with other disciplines.

  • Improving workflows: Identifying user behaviours, goals, motivations and needs through various methods is key.

  • Understand, manage and make the UI coherent throughout various features.

  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision. Eager to explore new tools and broaden your knowledge in the field.

  • Solid knowledge of user-centered design, user research, user testing, rapid prototyping, usability, and accessibility concerns is of high importance.

  • Fluent in English.  

What could make you stand out more?

  • At least 2+ years industry AAA experience.
  • Solid technical understanding and appreciation for smart ways to create flexible and scalable UI.
  • Thorough knowledge of flow / function / form and UI progression.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Open for feedback on your work and provide it to others in order to make the game as great as possible.
